A new dog park in Baldivis will set tails wagging with top notch facilities providing local pooches and their owners with a safely fenced play and exercise space for dogs of sizes.
Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels and local Member of Federal Parliament, Madeleine King MP, officially opened the Barri Barri Dog Park on Clyde Avenue in Baldivis on Friday.
Ms King said the City of Rockingham successfully applied to the Stronger Communities Programme for financial assistance towards the cost of the top notch park, an application she was happy to support.
Ms King’s dogs, Blue and Jack, explored the 3000m2 fenced park, which has shade structures, water fountains, trees, sandy areas and seating to name just some of its attractions.
“This is a fantastic facility and I know dog owners and their dogs will make great use of it,” Ms King said.
“I am very pleased to have supported this great project which benefits the community and the many dog owners in Baldivis.”
