LABOR COMMITS $1.8 MILLION TO MANDOGALUP MULTICULTURAL CENTRE

05 April 2025

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $1.8 million towards the building costs for a multicultural community centre in Mandogalup.

Located near the Kwinana Freeway and Anketell Road intersection, the 400-person capacity community centre will provide a dedicated space where local multicultural community associations and clubs can come together to celebrate and share traditions.

The facility will support cultural events, educational programs and social activities to strengthen the connection between multicultural groups and the local area.

Saiva Maha Sabai of WA, a non-profit organisation that also operates the nearby Perth Bala Murugan Hindu Temple, will lead the development of the centre.

Their long-standing commitment to promoting social cohesion makes them ideal stewards of this important project.

The Cook Labor Government will also contribute $500,000 towards the success of the project.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
