Local residents are invited to join an evening of Christmas cheer with two free community Christmas carol events a great way to get into the seasonal spirit.
The Baldivis Christmas Carols event on Friday 2 December and the Kwinana Christmas Carols on Sunday 11 December will involve live singing, sausage sizzles and lots of fun.
Local Member of Federal Parliament Madeleine King said the celebrations were important events on the community calendar which she was proud to support.
“The local community has really gotten behind these Christmas carols with Mother Teresa Catholic College P&F and the Kwinana Lions putting on sausage sizzles and the Girl Guides taking part to hand out glow sticks and programs for a gold coin donation,” Ms King said.
“People can come along to both evenings and enjoy a fun time singing Christmas carols or can just sit back and enjoy the show.”
The Baldivis carols will take place from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Mother Teresa Catholic College, located at the corner of 68 and 80 Roads in Baldivis, and the Kwinana carols will take place from 6pm at Chisham Square, outside the Darius Wells Library.
People can bring picnics to both events which are alcohol and drug free.
