Anyone who is struggling to get their aged pension should immediately contact her, Brand MP Madeleine King said today.

“On Monday, Human Services Minister Michael Keenan told Parliament that he would investigate any complaints about delays in paying the pension - so if people are having any delays with Centrelink in relation to getting their aged pension they should email me,” said Ms King, whose electorate covers Rockingham and Kwinana.

Ms King said the claim that people were not experiencing delays in getting their aged pensions did not stack up across Australia. Median processing times for the aged pension have blown out from 36 days in 2016-17 to 49 days in 2017-18 (up until the end of March), according to official information given to the Senate.
