The Liberal Party can’t keep their hands off Western Power. 

Yesterday the Federal Liberal Government introduced legislation that could lead to the forced privatisation of Western Australia’s energy assets.

The Liberals have learnt nothing from the Western Australian people, who emphatically rejected the Barnett Liberal Government’s plan to sell Western Power at the last state election.  

However Scott Morrison doesn’t seem to care, and instead is trying to fast-track this potentially harmful legislation through the house without proper consultation or review.  

Privatising energy assets is in the Liberals’ DNA.

Western Power belongs to the people of Western Australia, and must be protected from this chaotic Liberal Government.

Under A Shorten Labor Government these assets are not for sale.

We call on the Federal Western Australian Liberal Cabinet Ministers to guarantee that Western Power will stay in the public’s hands.
