As 2026 draws to a close, it is a time for reflection, celebration, and to share in the joy of the festive season and embrace the spirit of generosity that brings our community together.
Christmas is the time for family gatherings, good food and drink, and pausing to reflect on the year that is now behind us — both the good and bad times.
It’s a time to take a deep breath and reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones.
It’s also a time to think about others and to give gifts. A gift might not be material — it could be a kind word or helping hand.
This Christmas, Frank Konecny Community Centre and Coastal District Care Centre are asking for your help to stock their Christmas Appeal, because no child should miss out on the spirit of Christmas.
Each year, the centres work closely with local organisations and support professionals to ensure families doing it tough receive hampers. This year, they are specifically looking for donations for children 0-4 and for teenagers from 12-16 years old.
You can donate your items at my office at 1-3 Kent Street, in Rockingham. We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30AM.
Thank you!
