MADELEINE KING PROMISES CHRISTMAS CAROLS WHATEVER THE WEATHER

30 November 2018

Locals are encouraged to embrace the Christmas spirit, with the Kwinana Christmas carols just around the corner.

Hosted by Madeleine King MP and Roger Cook MLA, this free community event at Chisham Square Kwinana will involve singing, a sausage sizzle, lolly bags and a visit from a Santa.

Last year’s carols were a huge success, even after an unexpected rain storm threatened to ruin the fun.

Despite the downpour, Santa Claus still made his way to the Darius Wells library and found a crowd of 250 people having fun singing to new and old carols.

Residents can be assured that come rain, hail or shine, the carols will go ahead this year, said Ms King.

“The Kwinana Christmas Carols are a highlight of my holiday season,” said Ms King.

“The success of last year’s event showed everyone Kwinana locals are always ready to embrace the Christmas spirit, whatever the weather.”

The annual Kwinana Christmas Carols will take place on Saturday 8 December from 6:00PM, with people welcome to bring a picnic to the alcohol and drug free event.

The weather is forecast to be sunny and mild.
