Community groups in Brand can now submit expressions submissions of interest for round six of the Stronger Communities Grants Programme.
Under this important scheme, local groups will receive grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for eligible small capital works projects that are aimed at increasing community participation.
The programme will be facilitated by my office on behalf of the Commonwealth government.
Over the years, these grants have supported many local groups and projects across the cities of Kwinana and Rockingham.
I’m pleased to be able to oversee this programme and I encourage all community and sporting groups to study the eligibility criteria and consider making a submission.
Round six of the programme will support Australia’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this round, the grant funding for each project will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies where grant funding will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs.
Expressions of interest can be made by visiting www.madeleineking.com.au and must be submitted online by 5pm on 28 February 2021.
