Twenty six years after graduating from Safety Bay Senior High School, local Member of Federal Parliament Madeleine King on Wednesday was once again part of the school’s graduation ceremony, this time as a guest speaker and presenter.

Ms King said it was a great honour to be invited to take part in this year’s graduation ceremony, where she presented the Quiet Achiever Award to Ella Pasterfield.

“I was very pleased to be invited back by my old school to present Ella with her award,” Ms King said.

“Graduation is an exciting time, marking the end of school and celebrating all the students have achieved during their school years.

“Even now, 26 years later, my school years spent at Safety Bay Senior High School and the friendships I made, have stayed with me.

“I wish all those students finishing school across Rockingham and Kwinana all the best in their futures.”
